1– Introduction
1.1- The Piwo App is built by Wonivo, private enterprise specialized in technology building and internet-based products and services. This App’s aim is to create a free-of-charge, respectful and non-discriminatory community where user can connect and communicate with other users. The Piwo APP is intended for use as is with no special skills required to access and use the features.
1.2- This page is intended to inform current and potential users about our privacy policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information. The use of “we” in this document refers to Wonivo which is the legally registered business that owns the Piwo App.
1.3- By choosing to download and use the Piwo App, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the app’s features and performance. We will never use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 – We must receive or collect some information to operate, provide, improve, understand, and customize our Services. The types of information we receive and collect depend on how you use our Services. We require certain information to deliver our Services and without this we will not be able to provide our Services to you. For example, you must provide your email address to create an account to use our Services.
2.2 – While using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”).
Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address telephone number, other contact, and demographic information.
2.3 – You may provide us with Personal Information when you register for an Account, use the Service, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. For example, you must provide basic information such as a profile name of your choice to create an account on our app. If you don’t provide us with this information, you will not be able to create an account to use our Services. You can add other information to your account, such as a profile picture and “about” information.
2.4- Our Services have optional features which, if used by you, require us to collect additional information to provide such features. You will be notified of such collection, as appropriate. If you choose not to provide the information needed to use a feature, you will be unable to use the feature. For example, you cannot share your stories in pictures if you do not allow us to access your photos or your camera in order for you to take a picture and to share it on our app.
2.5- In addition to the personal information that you disclose to us, we may also request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s camera, storage, photos, and other features. We may also request to send you push notifications regarding your Account or the App. If you wish to change our access or permissions or opt-out from receiving push-notifications, you may turn such features off in your device’s settings.
2.6- The complete list of information that we collect from you which also includes the permission we require from you:
- Your full name(first name and last name)
- Your email address
- Your non-precise location (we collect only the city and the country). We do not and cannot track your location because our does not include any feature to track you in real time. We only use your city and country to connect you with other user in the same city. You can change your location at anytime in the app settings.
- A Username. You can create any username of your choice when you sign up with our app. We use the username for authentication purposes only.
- Your birthdate. We collect your birthdate for authentication and fraud prevention.
- A password. You need to create a password in order to access and use our app.
- Photos, videos and messages that you share using our app are optional and not a requirement to sign up in our app. You are entirely responsible for the safety and the appropriateness of any photos, videos and messages that you publish on our app.
3- Third-Party Information
3.1- We may receive information about you from other users. For example, when other users you know use our Services, they may provide your phone number, name, and other information (like information from their mobile address book) just as you may provide theirs. They may also send you messages, send messages to groups to which you belong, or call you. We require each of these users to have lawful rights to collect, use, and share your information before providing any information to us.
3.2- It is important to remember that when you are interacting with other user via our app, any user can capture screenshots of your chats or messages or make recordings of your calls with them and send them to someone else or post them on another platforms.
3.3- Any user or third parties may choose to report/flag your interactions and your messages with them or others on our Services if they believe that you violate our Terms or policies. Similarly, you can report any user that you believe is in violation of our terms or policies. When a report is made, we collect information on both the reporting user and reported user in other to conduct appropriate follow-up on the matter.
3.4- We work with third-party service providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, and support our Services. For example, we work with service providers like Google and Apple to distribute our apps. Other service providers provide our technical and physical infrastructure, engineering support, cybersecurity support, operational support, customer service. We may also hire service providers to help us understand how people use our Services, to conduct surveys and research for us, to ensure safety, security, and integrity in the delivery of our services to our end users. These companies may provide us with information about you in certain circumstances. For example, Apple Store and Google Play may provide us with reports to help us diagnose and fix service issues.
3.5- The Piwo App may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

4- How We Use Your Information
4.1- We will never use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We will never sell your information to anyone.
4.2- We only use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our service. Examples of how we use your information include, but not limited to:
- facilitate the creation and securing of your Account
- provide customer service
- send you confirmations, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages
- detect and prevent fraud
- operate, protect, and optimize the Service and your experience, such as by performing analytics and conducting research troubleshoot and protect against errors

To protect the confidentiality of information maintained in your Account, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all uses of our Service by any person using your password. Please advise us immediately if you believe your password has been misused. We will only retain your Personal Information as long as reasonably required for you to use the Service and/or to provide you with the Service unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for regulatory purposes).
6- Changes to This Privacy Policy
6.1- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to meet local laws requirements. We will notify you of any changes by using our communication channels which are the App main wall and our website Privacy Policy page. The changes to our Privacy Policy take effective immediately once published on our website. It is therefore your responsibility to review this page periodically for any changes.
